Anne-Laure Dottrens, a graduate of the universities of music in Basel (studying with G. Strosser), Zurich (with M. Baer), and Lucerne (with I. Charisius and D. Waskiewicz), is a freelance musician. She enjoys performing a wide-ranging repertoire, from the pre-Baroque period to contemporary music, in various formations ranging from duo to symphony orchestra.
In Basel, she discovered contemporary music and found it fascinating to explore and develop new works, search for new sounds and techniques, and particularly enjoy the collaborative working process with composers.
She is currently furthering her studies in early music through masterclasses and benefits from the teaching of Werner Matzke, Christian Gooses, and Leila Schayegh.
Anne-Laure is a member of the ensemble Neuverband and performs with the Arosa Berg Ensemble. She is also a member of the 21st Century Orchestra and regularly performs with the Symphonieorchester Vorarlberg in Bregenz and the Zürcher Barock Orchester. In addition to these ensembles, she organizes chamber music concerts.
Alongside her performance projects, she teaches violin and viola. For her, passing on and sharing her passion is a true joy.
