Violinist Rada Hadjikostova is a graduate of the National Academy of Music in Sofia. After performing and studying around the world, including in Santiago de Chile, Würzburg, and Paris, she completed her studies at the Haute École de Musique de Genève, where she was awarded the Adolf Neumann Prize for the best soloist diploma under the guidance of M. Karafilova, as well as a postgraduate diploma in string quartet performance with G. Takács.
A lifelong chamber music enthusiast, she has had the opportunity to work with musicians such as N. Brainin, W. Levin, S. Devich, as well as the Bartók, Debussy, and Ysaÿe Quartets. Fascinated by contemporary and experimental music, Rada co-founded Ensemble Vortex in 2005, with which she has performed ever since. More recently, she joined the eclectic ensemble FECIMEO.
She teaches violin and leads “Orchestre en Classe” programs with great dedication at the Conservatoire Populaire de Musique, Danse et Théâtre (CPMDT).
