Swiss pianist Christophe Sturzenegger studied with Marc Pantillon and received encouragement from great pedagogues such as György Sebők and Paul Badura-Skoda.
A laureate of several competitions (Friedl Wald, Dénéréaz) and winner of the Neumann and Dumont prizes, he was also awarded a prize at the Whittaker Competition.
Professor of keyboard harmony, complementary piano, and improvisation at the Haute École de Musique de Genève since 2003, he performs regularly as a soloist with orchestra, in recital, and in chamber music. His award-winning recordings (Diapason, Télérama) are available on various labels (Claves, Klarthe, Sony).
He is also a horn player, conductor, and composer.
